
AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Suffolk baseball had close to no answers to Drew's pitcher, who limited the the blue-and-gold bats three hits, as the Rangers blanked the Rams, 8-0, Saturday night at Lake Myrtle at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Drew's bats were hot early on and it built a six-run edge in the first inning thanks in large part to a grand slam by Redsy Klein.
The Rams' bats never found their grove and a sac fly from the Rangers added two more runs spread out over the fifth and sixth for the 8-0 final.
PITCHERS PICTURE
- TJ Dimitriou took the loss after giving up seven runs on seven hits and one walk with five punchouts over 5.0 innings.
- James Hogan logged 1.0 inning of relief. He let up one run on two hits and one walk with one strikeout.
- Brandon Kobryn earned the decision behind 6.0 innings of scoreless action with two hits and two walks allowed and eight punchouts.
- Nate Sica let up one hit in 1.0 inning of scoreless relief.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Alex Sorenti-Burns, Sebastian Lampert and Chris Cimino had one hit apiece.
- Lampert's hit was a double.
- Colin Flynn and Cole Hilliard both drew one walk.
