BOSTON – Suffolk baseball rides its nine-game win streak to Hartford Saturday, May 4 for a non-conference doubleheader. Game one is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m.

Suffolk baseball capped off its six-game homestand with its ninth win in a row, a 12-1, seven-inning triumph over Gordon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action Tuesday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Behind its nine-game win streak, Suffolk baseball has compiled a 24-13 overall record.  

The Rams offense has been firing on all cylinders as of late, outscoring its opponents 93-21 over the last nine games. Suffolk's offensive output all season has been thanks in large part to the upperclassmen trio of Harry Painter (53 H, 40 RBI, 44 R), Jonny Gilbride (55 H, 46 RBI, 47 R) and Garret Roberts (49 H, 33 RBI, 41 R). Max Iorio (35 H, 33 RBI, 31 R) and Alex Sorenti-Burns (36 H, 39 RBI, 33 R) have been consistent contributors at the plate this season as well. 

Due-up in the Rams' rotation is Brett Bucklin (47.1 IP, 2.28 ERA, 35 K), TJ Dimitriou (23.0 IP, 16 K) and Painter (30.2 IP, 2.05 ERA, 47 K). 

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS
Hartford fell to Williams, 14-12, Wednesday to dip to 9-24-1 on the year.  

Offensively, Jackson Ciccone has produced 45 hits and has scored 35 runs, but its Jake Satiago's bat that has brought in 31 runs on 43 hits. He has scored 21 runs himself. Jeremy Mangiameli rounds out the top three threats at the dish with 28 hits, 25 RBI and 24 runs scored.  

With just one mid-week game, the Hawks pitching staff should be well-rested and ready to go Saturday. Colin Blake (32.0 IP, 8.44 ERA, 18 K), Sam Smith (15.0 IP, 7.40 ERA, 9 K), Anthony Bubba (32.2 IP, 5.51 ERA, 33 K), Joe Dooley (35.0 IP, 9.26 ERA, 30 K) and Luke Rier (38.0 IP, 4.50 ERA, 38 K) are all options for Hartford on the mound Saturday.

Suffolk baseball secured the sixth spot in Region II in the latest NCAA Division III Regional Rankings, the national organization announced.

RAMS RECOGNITION
Colin Flynn of the Suffolk baseball team garnered Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week after helping the Rams go 5-0 over the week including a sweep of conference counterpart Curry, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
