BOSTON – Three games over three days are in store for Suffolk baseball. The Rams will head to Gordon Tuesday, April 9 for a Commonwealth Coast Conference nine-inning tilt, before battling UMass Boston in a home-and-home series the next two days. Suffolk will host the Beacons in Eastie Wednesday, April 10, before the rematch at the Beacons' home field Thursday, April 11. All three games have 3:00 p.m. first pitches.

LAST TIME OUT
Despite 11 strikeouts from starting pitcher Harry Painter, Suffolk baseball fell to UMass Dartmouth in game two of a non-conference doubleheader Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth Baseball Field. The Corsairs took advantage of Rams' relievers to come back and used a bases loaded hit by pitch in the bottom of the seventh to walk-off the win.

RAMS RUNDOWN
After splitting its non-league twinbill at UMass Dartmouth Saturday, Suffolk sits 12-9 overall. In CCC contests, the Rams are 2-3.  

The trio of Garret Roberts (27 H, 15 RBI, 22 R), Jonny Gilbride (26 H, 27 RBI, 28 R) and Harry Painter (26 H, 23 RBI, 22 R) are the top contributors at the plate for the blue-and-gold's 167-run, 186-hit offense.  

Brett Bucklin (28.2 IP, 2.20 ERA, 20 Ks) and TJ Dimitriou (12.0 IP, 8 Ks) are the most well-rested arms for the Rams in their rotation. Pierce Salbego (32.0 IP, 33 Ks) only threw 1.0 inning over the weekend so he may be used towards the latter portion of the week.  

FIGHTING SCOTS FACTS
Gordon has fallen in four in a row to bring a 5-17 overall record and 1-4 CCC mark into the week, which gets underway for the Fighting Scots Monday with a doubleheader against Roger Williams.  

CJ Demers has produced 31 hits on a .419 batting average with 25 RBI and 25 runs scored. Andrew Hartman and Jonathan McIntyre have both provided 23 hits and 14 RBI. The former has scored 13 times, while the latter has added 21 runs.  

The Fighting Scots staff are rested going into the week with their contest coming last Tuesday, April 2 at No. 1 Endicott. Tyler Sprince (23.1 IP, 6.94 ERA, 21 K), Brett Moore (23.0 IP, 12.52 ERA, 12 K), Riley Stys (20.2 IP, 9.15 ERA, 25 K), Kevin Whalen (14.1 IP, 4.40 ERA, 2 K) and Jack Birtwell (16.1 IP, 10.47 ERA, 18 K) should all be ready to go come Monday.

UMass Boston, who is on an eight-game win streak, holds a 14-7 overall record and will face UMass Dartmouth Tuesday before battling Suffolk.  

Aidan Blake has brought in 26 runs on 25 hits, including five doubles, two triples and six jacks. He has scored 25 times himself. Justin Gouveia has supplied 30 hits, 15 RBI and 30 runs scored to the Beacons offense.  

Max Moss (35.0 IP, 2.31 ERA, 37 K), Dillon Ryan (30.0 IP, 3.60 ERA, 45 Ks), Ethan Hunt (26.1 IP, 2.05 ERA, 20 K), Ross Dexter (24.2 IP, 4.74 ERA, 24 K) make up the usual starting rotation for UMB.
