BABSON PARK, Mass. – Suffolk baseball dropped a 2-0 midweek battle to Babson Wednesday afternoon at Govoni Field.
THE BASICS
SCORE: Suffolk 0 | Babson 2
RECORDS: Suffolk (11-6) | Babson (7-6)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Small ball helped Babson break onto the board in the second. John Nowak led off with a single to left moved over on Walter Sadowsky's bunt and scored thanks to Ryan Hvozodvic's single through the left side.
The Beavers extended their edge to 2-0 in the third with help from a pair of Rams errors.
The score stayed there the rest of the way as Suffolk's bats never truly got going and the blue-and-gold' pitching and defense limited Babson's opportunities.
