HOW IT HAPPANED
Both starting arms commanded the mound through the first three innings. The Rams started to figure out Jake Schelonka in the fourth. Alex Sorenti-Burns worked a walk to get the inning going and Max Iorio lobbed a double to right field to put a pair of runners in scoring position. Adam Braid's first hit as a Ram, a base hit to left center, was responsible for bringing both runs in that it 2-0 Suffolk.

Levi Stubbles sac fly in the home half of the inning sliced the Rams advantage in half and two innings later Cody Horon brought the game-tying run in on a single to left.

The equal playing field was short lived as the Rams restored their lead. Jonny Gilbride knocked a ground rule double to left and took third on a balk. Harry Painter put the ball in play, which allowed Gilbride to score to send Suffolk in front, 3-2.

A response by CSS came in the bottom of the seventh to lock the score once again.

In the eighth the Rams stranded a pair of runners to keep things even at 3-all before Tiemann sent a two-out, no doubter over the right field fence to give St. Schoalstica its first edge of the outing.
