Painter Earns ABCA/Rawlings Third-Team All-Region

2023 ABCA/RAWLINGS NCAA DIVISION III ALL-REGION TEAM 

BOSTON – Suffolk baseball's Harry Painter picked up his second All-Region accolade of the season when he was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region Third-Team, the national organization announced Tuesday.  

A total of 46 players from 17 different programs were recognized on Region 2's three teams. Painter was one of 14 CCC student-athletes on the list.  

Painter scooped up his second all-region distinction from the ABCA to bring Suffolk's total to 32 NEIBA/ABCA/Rawlings all-region awards dating back to 2000 with at least one Ram taking home the feat each season that is has been handed out dating back to 2016. Of the 32 honorees, one third (11) have come under Anthony Del Prete's guidance. When broken down, Suffolk has received 16 first-team, nine spots on the second-team and seven third-team recognitions over the last two-plus decades.  

The Essex, Massachusetts native was a consistent in the top of Suffolk's line-up this season. He racked up 50 hits including 11 doubles and eight homers. He brought in 39 runs on a .347 connection rate at the plate and scored 26 himself.  

Painter helped Suffolk make its third straight trip to the CCC Tournament, second straight as the sixth seed.
