BOSTON – Suffolk baseball returns to East Boston Memorial Park Saturday, April 8 for a Commonwealth Coast Conference doubleheader with Western New England. Game one has a 12:00 p.m. start.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk baseball had the chance to upset No. 7/14 Endicott as it took the nationally ranked Commonwealth Coast Conference counterpart to 10 innings, but it would be the Gulls that prevailed with a 4-3, 10-inning league decision Tuesday at North Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk has fell in four straight to bring a 6-9 overall record and 2-3 CCC ledger into Saturday's action. 

The trio of Harry Painter (26 H, 15 RBI, 8 R), Jonny Gilbride (24 H, 11 RBI, 17 H) and Garret Roberts (21 H, 10 RBI and 8 R) continue to pace the Rams at the plate. 

Suffolk will likely return to its weekend rotation or Roberts (4.63 EAR, 23.1 IP, 22 K) and George Breslin (3.49 ERA, 28.1 IP, 20 K) on the bump.

GET TO KNOW THE GOLDEN BEARS
Western New England (13-4-1, 1-2 CCC) has won five in a row and takes its talents to Keene State Thursday, April 6 to prep for its Saturday action at Suffolk. 

CJ Willis has as many RBI as he does hits with 30 in each category to pace the Golden Bears' 166-run offense over 18 games. The infielder is batting just under .400 with seven homers and three doubles with 18 runs scored and eight stolen bases on his stat line as well. Jack Loftus (15 RBI, 18 R), Cody Waterbury (19 RBI, 14 R), Paul Villecco (14 RBI, 25 R) and Kohtaro Shimada (11 RBI, 19 R) all have 22 hits apiece.
In conference contests, the Golden Bears have used Kevin Hummer (4.18 ERA, 28.0 IP, 24 K), Jared Kuryan (4.09 ERA, 22.0 IP, 25 K) and Jacob Hobart (6.31 ERA, 25.2 IP, 20 K) on the hill as starters. Andrew Melone (1.35 ERA, 6.2 IP, 8 K) and Troy Donohue (4.26 ERA, 6.1 IP, 8 K) have proven to be WNE's closers with two saves apiece.
