LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk baseball's ninth inning comeback would not be enough to break down then-No. 14 UMass Boston as the Beacons battled back to force extra innings and won the game on a bases loaded wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th to spoil the Rams' season opener, 8-7, Monday at Monan Park.

RAMS REVIEW
Suffolk jump started its 2020 season in New England, a first since the 2016 campaign, with a Monday matchup with then-No. 14 UMass Boston. The Rams could not hold off the Beacons, however, and fell in the 10th inning, 8-7, to head to the Sunshine State 0-1.

Zack Aresty is the only batter with multiple hits as he put together a career-high two-hit effort in the season debut and leads the way in runs scored as well with a pair to his credit. He was one of three players to produce an extra base hit with the senior, Rich Gilbride and Gino Desimone all knocking one double each. Desimone and Logan Heckman each brought in one run. On the base paths, Gilbride, Heckman and Michael James Jr. have one swiped bag apiece.

The Rams cycled through five different arms on game one. Michael Muscarella was the most impressive of the bunch as he tossed 3.1 scoreless and hitless innings to trek to Florida with a 0.00 ERA and two strikeouts.
