BOSTON – The Suffolk baseball team looks to bounce back from its biggest set-back of the season with a non-conference contest against Curry Thursday, April 20. Game time between the Rams and Colonels at East Boston Memorial Park is set for 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Suffolk baseball team dropped a non-conference 17-2 decision to Western New England University Tuesday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk, who is 16-8 on the year, leads the nation in runs per game at 9.6.

The Rams offensive is paced by Brady Chant, the nation's leader in triples (10) and triples per game (0.43). The junior center fielder has 39 hits, 23 RBI and 29 runs with seven stolen bases with a slash line of .361/.418/.657. Seth Coiley's .415 average paces Suffolk at the plate  with the junior collecting 27 hits, 19 RBI and 18 runs. Kevin Belskie (.357/.471/.476) paces the pack with 25 RBI of 30 hits to go with 20 runs, while Matt Brenner (.333/.463/.540) and Luke Ronchi (.366/.429/.462) each have 22 RBI to their credit. Brenner adds 29 hits and 27 runs, while Ronchi owns 34 hits and 25 runs.

Mark Fusco has been the most consistent arm on the hill for the Rams with the junior's 0.78 ERA through 23.0 innings leading the way on the team and in the league. Ryan Pordes has seen the most action on the bump, dealing 41.0 frames for a 3.51 ERA with 27 Ks. 

COLONELS CATCH UP
Since facing Suffolk April 11, Curry (9-14) fell in a doubleheader to Western New England before earning three straight wins to bring a win-streak into Thursday's tilt. 

The Colonels, who are hitting .244 as a team, with only one player hitting above .300 in senior pitcher Vincent Lopriore (.353) and leads the way in RBI 12. Justin Cage (.356/.341/.346) is second on the squad in RBI with 12 off 18 hits and 12 runs scored. Alex McLean (.269/.389/.321) and Nick Crivello (.232/.312/.319) are one-two on the team in runs at 14 and 13, respectively. 

David Griffin holds the lowest ERA amongst Curry starting arms at 2.23. In seven appearances, six nods, the junior has worked a team-high 44.1 innings, allowing 17 runs (11 earned) on 32 hits with 31 strikeouts. Brian Burke has dealt 37.2 innings for the Colonels and holds a 4.78 ERA with 22 runs (20 earned) on 49 hits to go along with a team-best 35 Ks. 

WE MEET AGAIN
The Suffolk baseball team ran its win streak to seven April 11 at Jack Valley Diamond as the Rams defeated Curry, 10-6, in non-conference action.

Brady Chant
of the Suffolk baseball team rewrote the Rams' record books on Patriots Day as the junior knocked his 10th triple of the season bringing his career total to 20 to sit atop Suffolk's single-season and all-time triple marks.

On the heels of a 5-1 week, Suffolk baseball's Brady Chant took home GNAC Corvias Player of the Week for the second time this season April 17.
