Former Suffolk University Baseball pitcher Paul Campano is doing his part to support United States Veterans with his work through the "Homes for Heroes" organization.

Campano studied at Suffolk University as an Archer Fellow and pitched for the Rams from the 1996-98 seasons. After completing various consulting engagements, including one for William B. May real estate in New York City, Paul focused solely on marketing residential property in 2003. Since then Paul has been a successful realtor from Keller Williams Realty.  In 2009, the Somerville native was named one of 'Banker and Tradesman' New Leaders.

Earlier this year Campano took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony in Boston's West End to commemorate the launch of the "Home for Heroes" organization in Massachusetts. The ceremony took place on Staniford Street, which features a bronze plaque that honors West End residents who gave their lives serving our nation. Campano's uncle is listed among those local heroes.

Homes for Heroes is the largest organization of its kind, helping to give benefits and discounts to military personnel, police and firefighters who are purchasing/selling homes across the country.  Campano was the first local realtor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to partner with this nationwide benefit program.

 "I knew I wanted to assist a cause that would benefit our soldiers, as well as veterans and other local heroes," said Campano.  "Homes for Heroes has already helped so many heroes in other states. I'm very excited to help them expand into Massachusetts."
