Baseball Rolls to 13-7 Victory

The Suffolk University Baseball team (2-1 overall) topped Stevens Tech on Sunday afternoon collecting 20 hits to win 13-7.

Senior Nick Travelyn (Bedford, N.H.) led the way with a 4-for-5 day driving in three runs, and scoring three times. Senior Mark Addesa (Revere, Mass.) also drove in three runs on three hits, while freshman Devan Jones (Roslindale, Mass.) had a pair of extra base hits as he was 3-for-6.

All nine starters in the Suffolk lineup had at least one hit as the Rams scored seven times in the final three innings to pick up their second win in three tries on their spring trip in Auburndale, Florida.

Sophomore Matt Sliney (Brockton, Mass.) picked up the win on the mound fanning nine hitters in five innings of work, as the Suffolk staff combined to punch out 13 hitters in the game.

Suffolk will be back in action on Monday afternoon as they take on UMass-Dartmouth at 3:00pm.
