Rams 'Round the World: Men's Soccer's Emilio Tenacio

Rams 'Round the World: Men's Soccer's Emilio Tenacio

Freshman Emilio Tenacio has taken his talents overseas for the 2020 spring semester to study at Suffolk's Madrid campus. While stamping his academic passport, Tenacio will check in with GoSuffolkRams.com from time-to-time to tell Ram Nation what she has been up to abroad.

Below is the second and final installment, when Tenacio had his trip cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the recent series of events that have happened in the past month, my study abroad semester has been cut short.

Despite the sudden change of having to come back home, my time in Spain felt like a lifetime. The city of Madrid treated me incredibly and I can’t wait to have another opportunity to go back. The endless amount of food, city life, and unforgettable moments will forever tie me to Madrid. I am only left wondering about the places I wasn’t able to visit. The perfect excuse to go back and explore even more.

I want to thank the staff at Suffolk University-Madrid for helping me transition, adapt, and thrive during my time in Madrid. I cannot stress enough about how incredible studying abroad in Spain is. The staff at Suffolk Madrid were extremely understanding, compassionate, and effective in getting me and all of the study abroad students’ home. They deserve a special thanks for taking care of all of the study abroad students during our unprecedented return home.

Until next time Spain and the rest of Europe. I can’t wait for round two!
