146 Named to Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for Fall 2015 Semester

BOSTON – The Suffolk University Athletics Department is proud to announce the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll of the 2015 Fall Semester. 206 student-athletes were enrolled in full-time classes this fall and 146 achieve a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. Overall, the department maintained a 3.19 GPA average on the semester between its 13 varsity intercollegiate teams.

“With nearly 70 percent of our student-athletes achieving this recognition it shows that academics do not take a backseat to athletics,” Director of Athletics Cary McConnell said. “Our student-athletes continue to exhibit the skills necessary to make them well-rounded individuals, which correlate into the department’s goal of bolstering a foundation for our student-athletes to be as successful as they can be in all areas of life. This accomplishment is a direct reflection of their commitment to excel and an achievement our coaches, staff and the University can be proud of.”

Of the 146 student-athletes recognized on the honor roll, 11 achieved perfection with a 4.0 GPA for the semester; Meredith Ball (Softball), Veronica Bernardo (Women’s Soccer), Matthew Brenner (Baseball), Connor Henry (Hockey), Sean Henry (Hockey), Taylor Holmes (Softball), Danyil Medvedev (Hockey), Sydney Littlefield (Softball/Volleyball), Justin Selep (hockey), Caleb Unni (Men’s Basketball) and Worth Walrod (Baseball).

To be eligible for the list a student-athlete must complete the minimum of 12 credits for full-time status and not receive a grade of an incomplete.
