Two Athletes Garner Player of the Week Honors

Boston, MA - Two Suffolk University student-athletes earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week honors for their respective sports for the week of October, 26.

Men's Soccer senior forward Berhnard Lotterer (Lima, Peru) earned GNAC Player of the Week honors after scoring five times in two games for the Rams. Lotterer had a career-day on Saturday scoring four goals in the Rams', 5-0 victory over Albertus Magnus College. Lotterer scored the first goal of the game after a brilliant cross pass from senior Nick Celia (Hanson, MA). Lotterer, then scored a natural hat trick in the game's second half, matching his season total in just 71 minutes of play on Saturday. Lotterer's fourth goal of the day came as he converted on a penalty kick. The four goals in the game now bring his season total to eight, to go along with six assists for a total of 22 points on the year, second behind Rams' leading scorer Danny Lloyd. Lotterer also netted a goal in Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Mount Ida College.

Freshman John Blazo (Pembroke, MA) earned GNAC Runner of the Week honors for Men's Cross-Country as he once again was the Rams' top runner over the weekend. Blazo finished the Gordon College Invitational in 30:03 for a placement of 9th in the 8K race. The Rams placed third in the meet with a total of 76 points.
