BOSTON – The Suffolk University Athletic Department will honor the most recent group of student-athlete graduates on Friday, May 16 at the 2025 Stole Ceremony. The by-invitation event will be held for the graduates and their families and friends at Suffolk University's Law School, Sargent Hall, in the Keches Room, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
A total of 93 Rams are scheduled to graduate, with either their undergraduate or graduate degrees at Suffolk University's Commencement Sunday, May 18.
All 19 of Suffolk's NCAA-sanctioned sports, will be represented in the second-ever class to receive a student-athlete stole.
Suffolk University Associate Director of Athletics Adam Skaggs will address the graduates on Friday, as will Suffolk University President Marisa J. Kelly, Suffolk University Hall of Famer, 1,000-point scorer Winston Daley, BSBA'02, and Jayla Martinez, record-setting women's volleyball player.
"After the success of last year's student-athlete stole ceremony, Suffolk Athletics is excited for the second-edition of the special event," said Director of Athletics Cary McConnell. "The student-athletes of the 2025 Suffolk University class are some of the most well-rounded individuals our department has seen in its history and their athletic achievements will be remembered for years to come."
McConnell continued, "Although their athletic achievements have stood out, this group has attained their goal of completing their collegiate degrees and we are honored to celebrate that success with them, their friends and their families this Friday.
The graduation stoles are provided to student-athletes, who complete their degrees as rostered student-athletes, including grad students and fifth-year students, or who have exhausted their athletic eligibility as a Ram and earn their degree, undergraduate or postgraduate, at Suffolk University.
