144 Earn Spring 2016 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll

BOSTON – A total of 144 Suffolk University student-athletes have earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the 2016 Spring Quarter. To make the Director's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a grade-point average of at least 3.0 and pass at least 12 quarter units.

The 210 student-athletes enrolled in full-time classes this spring representing the University's 13 varsity intercollegiate teams combined for a 3.21 overall GPA, with 75 student-athletes earning a spot on the Dean's List (3.5 GPA or higher).

"For the second straight semester nearly 70 percent of our student-athletes proved that athletics do not come before academics, showing that the Suffolk Athletics culture – athletes, teams, coaches and staff – encompass the true definition of Division III athletics – student first; athlete second," said Director of Athletics Cary McConnell. "As much as we boast about successes on the field, court and ice, accomplishments inside the classroom continue to be a reflection on the student's commitment to build skills necessary to make them well-rounded individuals and succeed after their time in blue-and-gold. These achievements are what we could not be more proud of."
