Real Players Don’t Bully: Ram Nation Takes Stand in Bullying Prevention Month

BOSTON – Every October, individuals from across the nation – and around the world – unite in a campaign to keep all youth safe from bullying. Throughout the week Suffolk Athletics will be doing its part and taking a stand to show that real players don’t bully.

More than one out of every five students will be bullied this year. This is probably happening to someone you know and care about.

  • Support others who have been hurt or harmed
  • Treat others with kindness
  • Be more accepting of people’s differences
  • Help include those who are left out

Members of the University’s athletic department’s 19 varsity teams will be taking the pledge that helps create a world without bullying through kindness, acceptance and inclusion.

I pledge to support others who have been hurt or harmed,
treat others with kindness be more accepting of people’s differences,
and help include those who are left out.

The athletic department will be hosting a pledge signing event during activity period Thursday, Oct. 17 in the student lounge on the second floor of the Ridgeway Building. If you would like to take the pledge along with our athletes, please click here.
