Rams Rewind: Women’s Soccer’s First-Ever Victory, October 13, 2007

BOSTON – Ram Nation now has the chance to get a glimpse into Suffolk Athletics history though clippings and pictures from the Rams’ record books and archives.

On this date 13 years ago, October 13, 2007, the women’s soccer squad marked its first tally in the win column in program history with a 4-0 shutout at Pine Manor.

Ten games into the inaugural women’s soccer season, the blue-and-gold potted four goals. Meghan McDonald’s gloves, meanwhile, stopped each of the Gators attempts to secure the milestone triumph.

That victory would be one of two for Suffolk in its first year on the pitch, while the four goals scored would be the most in year one for the Rams until they found the back of the net seven times in a 7-0 cleansheet over Daniel Webster Sept. 10, 2008.
