Rams Rewind: Schiebel Starts 100th Game, February 8, 2017

BOSTON – Ram Nation now has the chance to get a glimpse into Suffolk Athletics history though clippings and pictures from the Rams’ record books and archives.

On this date four year ago, February 8, 2017, Kelsey Schiebel did what only three Suffolk women’s basketball players have done before, start in her 100th game.

The floor general from Windham, New Hampshire, heard her name announced in New Haven, Connecticut prior to the Rams Wednesday night battle with then-conference foe Albertus Magnus to become the fourth person in the Rams’ record books to not only play in, but start in 100 outings. Schiebel joins the likes of Iliana Quadri ’15 (112 GP, 110 GS), Jacqueline Vienneau ’13 (110 GP / 108 GS) and Katie Librandi ’02 (105 GP / 103 GS).

On that historic night, Schiebel contributed a team-high 19 points in 37 minutes of action. Three of her five goals went down from downtown and she did not miss at the free throw line, going a perfect 6-for-6. Her stat line featured a pair of dimes and three caroms as well. Schiebel took the hardwood in 107 games throughout her career, starting in all, but four.
