Growing up playing two sports and being in school was always a challenge for me, when I learned that Suffolk had a women’s tennis team, I immediately was interested, but I always had that fear in the back of my head that if I joined the team I would not do well in school. After learning more about the program and talking to coach Steve, my parents, and friends, I decided that I definitely wanted to join the team. When I met the girls and started practicing, right away I knew I had made the right decision. I could easily say that joining the team is one of the best decisions I made.

Coming into the team I didn’t really have that many expectations since I didn’t really know the girls, but the day I met the girls there was an immediate bond and I knew it would be fun. As the season progressed these girls became some of my best friends and all the memories I have from our season are full of laughter, support, and fun. Some of my favorite memories from the season are the van rides to practice and games since it was basically our time to catch up and have some more laughs. One specific thing I did notice about our team is that we are all such different people but somehow, we get along so well and have so much fun when we’re together on the court and off the court.

To my teammates, Coach Steve and Joe

This season we had a lot of good days and some bad days, but at the end when we got in the van on our way home it was just us as friends and everything from the game was left behind. I want to thank all of you for making this season so much fun in your own ways, you all welcomed me in to the team with open arms and I will never forget the first time we all met. Thank you for always being a good sport when I would mess up in doubles and especially for always knowing that my silly humor was just that. I'll miss getting Chick-Fil-A with you guys after every match.

Coach Steve and Coach Joe thank you for all the support and all the tips, you guys made me a better player every practice, I appreciate all the support of the court as well.

To incoming freshmen just have fun and enjoy every day; it goes by really fast.
