Joining Suffolk’s Women Soccer team was an accident. I thought I signed up for club soccer the day of transfer orientation but it turns out, I put my name on a list for the head coach to contact me to schedule a tryout. Making the team was the start of my collegiate soccer career. I will be forever grateful for the day I accidentally put my name on that sheet.

To incoming freshman, you will meet some of your best friends on the soccer team. It will be hard work, it will be competitive, it will be a commitment to yourself and to your team, but it will all be worth it because you’re playing a game you love. Enjoy your years at Suffolk because before you know it, you’ll be where I am; writing a letter to those who are just starting their life as a Ram, while your time is ending.

To all of you on the team now and to those who have already graduated, I have so much appreciation for all of you. You have all made an impact on my life and my time here at Suffolk would not be as memorable if it wasn’t for my teammates. Thank you to all the girls from this past season especially because it was my last; it was definitely one to remember. Take in all the freshman and teach them what it means to be a ‘lady ram’. Good luck next season, the GNAC is yours!

On or off the field, students here represent what it means to be a Ram. We’re dedicated and determined to win championships, to be honor students, or to give back to the community. As a student-athlete, we step on that field feeling pride while wearing our jerseys. I will miss putting on that #20 jersey and I will miss being a Ram.

Coming to Suffolk helped shape me to be the person I am today. I have made some great friends and some unforgettable memories.

Thank you to my coaches and teammates, I’ll be in the stands cheering you on.

Thank you to my friends I made along the way, we have more memories to make.

Thank you to my parents and siblings for your love and support.
