BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball returns to the friendly confines of Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court for the regular season closer Saturday, Feb. 17 when Curry stops by Beacon Hill for a 1 p.m. Commonwealth Coast Conference contest.

LAST TIME OUT
A sluggish start to the fourth quarter cost the Rams a crucial Commonwealth Coast Conference setback as Suffolk women's basketball team fell to the University of New England, 69-61, Wednesday night at Harold Alfond Forum. The Nor'Easters outscored the blue-and-gold 18-13 in the final 10 minutes to end Suffolk's seven-game win streak.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk saw its seven-game win streak end Wednesday night at UNE, 69-61. That setback to the Nor'Easters put the Rams at 18-6 on the season and an 11-4 CCC ledger.  

Amanda DeAngelis, who has had a double-double in the last seven games, averages one as well with team-leading numbers in points (17.4) and rebounds (12.0) per game. Lauren Romito in on the verge of a double-double as well with 13.2 points and 9.4 caroms per contest, both numbers of which sit second on the squad. Jordan Moreau is a consistent factor in the scoring as well with 10.0 ppg.  

COLONELS CATCHUP
Curry has dropped six games in a row to sit 7-17 on the year and 2-13 in CCC contests.  

Two players produce double figures in scoring to anchor the Colonels' 62.8 points per game offensive output. Lauren Dunn's 15.2 ppg leads the way with Olivia Gourdine's 10.5 ppg landing in second.  

Sophie Hilbrunner paces Curry on the boards with 8.8 rpg to pace the team's 37.0 rpg effort. 

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk women's basketball allowed Curry to keep things interesting as the Colonels took their first lead of the night late in the fourth quarter before the Rams came back to capture the Commonwealth Coast Conference contest, 58-51, Tuesday, Jan. 2 at Katz Gymnasium.

SUE RAE '83 HEART & SOUL AWARD
Suffolk Athletics is excited to unveil the second recipient of the Sue Rae '81 Heart and Soul Award this Saturday, Feb. 17 prior to the 1 p.m. tip-off of the women's basketball game versus Curry at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.  

Created through the generous support of Suffolk Alumni, the award recognizes Sue Rae, Class of 1981, a founding member of the Suffolk women's basketball program who passed away in 2021.
