BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball brings its seven-game win streak to its road finale, a Wednesday, Feb. 14 match at the University of New England at 5:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Out of a 63-all tie to start the fourth quarter Suffolk women's basketball outscored Nichols, 25-16, to take down the Bison, 88-79 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Nichols Athletic Center Saturday afternoon. The victory is the Rams seventh in a row, the longest win streak since stringing 10 victories together Nov. 27, 2017-Jan. 25, 2018.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Behind its seven-game win streak, Suffolk holds an 18-5 overall record and an 11-3 CCC ledger.  

The Rams upperclassmen front court of Amanda DeAngelis and Lauren Romito pace the squad on both ends of the hardwood. DeAngelis averages a double-double of team-leading numbers with 17.1 points and 12.0 rebounds per game. Romito sits second in both categories with 13.3 points and 9.5 caroms per contest. Colby Guinta and Jordan Moreau add double figures to Suffolk's 71.5 ppg offense with 10.0 ppg each.   

NOR'EASTER NOTES
UNE has rattled off six wins in a row to bring a 17-6 overall mark and 12-3 CCC record into Wednesday's action.  

Jordyn Franzen is the main ingredient to the Nor'Easters scoring and rebounding with 17.1 ppg and 8.5 rpg. Faye Vellieux adds 13.4 ppg and 6.7 rpg. Kaylee Beyor rounds out to the top trio in both categories with 8.8 ppg and .82 rpg.  

WE MEET AGAIN
Suffolk women's basketball overcame a 13-point deficit and made it a one-possession game with one minute remaining in regulation, but ultimately the University of New England used free throws down the stretch to take down the Rams, 86-80, in Commonwealth Coast Conference action Thursday, Jan. 4  at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court

SUE RAE '83 HEART & SOUL AWARD
Suffolk Athletics is excited to unveil the second recipient of the Sue Rae '81 Heart and Soul Award this Saturday, Feb. 17 prior to the 1 p.m. tip-off of the women's basketball game versus Curry at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court.  

Created through the generous support of Suffolk Alumni, the award recognizes Sue Rae, Class of 1981, a founding member of the Suffolk women's basketball program who passed away in 2021.

RAMS AWARDS
Suffolk women's basketball saw a pair of its players recognized by the Commonwealth Coast Conference after a 2-0 week. Amanda DeAngelis earned a CCC Co-Player of the Week and Jordan Moreau was tabbed CCC Rookie of the week.

REGIONAL RECOGNITION
Amanda DeAngelis of the Suffolk women's basketball team was selected to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Second Team of the Week, the regional organization announced.
