BRUNSWICK, Maine – Suffolk women's cross country put on its best showing of 2022 so far with a third-place performance at the Bowdoin Invitational Saturday.

The Rams third-place finish came behind a team score of 70, which topped Colby, who was ranked seven in the east in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings, and was just behind Bowdoin, who sits 34th nationally.

Ellie Davis was the highest blue-and-gold finisher as she came through the chute in 10th. The graduate student finished her first 6k at Suffolk in 23:39.8. Skyler Goodman also ran her first 6k as a Ram and placed third spots behind Davis with a time of 24:03.5

Four different Rams posted personal-records on the 6k course, which will serve as the site for the 2022 NCAA Division III East Regionals in November. The quarter all scored points for Suffolk in Katelynn Brunt (24:00.7), Sydney Fogg (24:05.1), Sarah Roberts (24:42.8) and Jocelyn Triscik (26:47.4). Suffolk is set to be back in action Saturday, Oct. 15 at its own meet, the Suffolk Invite, at Franklin Park. The Rams will also duel Emerson in its annual head-to-head with the Lions, the Battle for Boston Commons.
