Women’s Indoor Track & Field Runs at John Thomas Terrier Invitational

BOSTON – A trio of Rams represented Suffolk women's indoor track & field at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Invitational over the weekend.

Emily Manfra had a standout showing as the senior from Stoneham, Massachusetts, put together the second-best time in the mile, clocking in a 4:54.54 to finish 17th in the 125-runner field, which was comprised of some of the NCAA Division I best including student-athletes from Texas.

Freshman Sarah Lawton was on the verge of qualifying for New Englands in the 500, but her 1:22.34 was .08 shy of a spot at the regional race. The Rams' rookie took 69th overall out of 82 runners.

Savannah Goddeeris rounded out the Rams across town. The first-year put together a 3:23.60 in the 1000 to claim 89th overall.

Suffolk is back in action this weekend when it divides up to two different events. Some of the Rams return to BU for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite with the remaining team members making the trip to the Tufts' for the Branwen Smith-King Invitational.
