BOSTON – The fourth-seeded Suffolk women's tennis team begins its quest for GNAC glory Wednesday, Oct. 18 as the fourth-seeded Rams welcome fifth-seeded Saint Joseph (Conn.) in the quarterfinals of the 2017 GNAC Championships Wednesday, Oct. 18. First serve in the win-and-advance match is set for 4:30 p.m. at North Reading High School.

Match 1: #6 Albertus Magnus at #3 Simmons – 4:30 PM at Daly Field

LAST TIME OUT
Trailing 2-1 after a postponed match due to inclement weather, Suffolk women's tennis looked to comeback versus Simmons, but the Sharks had other things in mind. The visitors won four of the six singles courts to take down the Rams, 6-3, in their regular season final Sunday afternoon at Daly Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk secured the tournament's fourth seed with a 7-6 overall a record and a 3-3 league ledger.
Delaney Dunlap played exclusively as the Rams ace in the regular season with the junior producing an 8-5 record. Ahilya Malhoutra is unbeaten 5-0 in singles action playing on courts four (2-0), five (2-0) and six (1-0). Danlyn Medou has also been successful in singles for Suffolk with the sophomore owning an 8-3 mark in the lower half of the lineup.
The twosome of Dunlap and Keely Hardy anchor the Rams in doubles action. The juniors have teamed up for a 6-3 record in the first and second position.
BLUE JAYS BREAKDOWN
St. Joseph ended the regular season with back-to-back wins, a 9-0 sweep over Mount Ida and an 8-1 win over MCLA to finish 5-6 overall and 2-4 in conference action.
Lucy Roberge has played exclusively as the Blue Jays ace. The junior has picked up back-to-back victories to sit at 4-7 on the season.
In doubles, Roberger has partnered with Leah Nguyen. Similar to singles play for Roberger, the pair has recorded two straights wins to own a 6-7 mark.
WE MEET AGAIN
In the regular season, Suffolk women's tennis team downed the University of Saint Joseph, 7-2, at the USJ Tennis Courts Saturday afternoon to push is win streak to five straight.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- Since 2007, Suffolk is unbeaten versus USJ, rattling off 11 consecutive wins versus the Blue Jays including the regular season meeting this year.
- Suffolk secured the last four meetings by 7-2 decisions.
- The Rams have swept the Blue Jays three times in the last 11 meetings in 2012, 2010 and 2007.
- Suffolk and USJCT will meet for the first time in the GNAC postseason.
