BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's hockey suffered a 3-1 setback to Endicott Saturday afternoon at Raymond J. Bourque Arena as the Gulls took the lead in the first period and never let it go.

HOW IT HAPPENED
A pair of Endicott goals over a 2:37 span in the first frame put the Rams in a 2-0 hole, a score that held at the first intermission.  

Sofia Scilipoti got a goal back for Suffolk 6:48 into the middle period with help from Shana Cote and Madison Ricardo.  

The Rams aimed to comeback in the third, but Endicott had other things in mind and Jess Michals restored the two-goal margin 1:58 in the period. 

Things remained that way for the duration of the contest as Michaela O'Brien stood up the Suffolk's 10 the rest of the way and penalties plagued the blue-and-gold.

  • Lily O'Neil registered 32 saves in the setback. 
  • O'Brien racked up 30 stops in the win.
