THE COURSE
Crafted in 1922 from 160 acres of sloping wooded terrain by the legendary Donald Ross, the Orchards is a hidden gem of a course. The 72-par course has hosted multiple championship events including the 1987 US Women's Junior Championship, the Massachusetts State Men's Amateur championship, 2002 NCAA Women's Division III Finals, the 2004 US Women's Open and the 2010 Massachusetts Senior Four-Ball Championship.

THE COMPETITION
A 17-team field will vie for the Mt. Holyoke Invitational title. Joining the Rams on the green at The Orchards Golf Club are fellow Empire8 members Husson, Johnson & Wales, Rhode Island College and Westfield State. Amherst, Bates, Bowdoin, Drew, Ithaca, Middlebury, Mount Holyoke, NYU, Ohio Wesleyan, St. Lawrence, Williams and Vassar will also complete along with the hosts, Mt. Holyoke.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
The invitational will act as double meets for the Rams as they will go head-to-head with the Owls of Westfield State each day of action.

LAST TIME OUT
In its first two-day competition of 2017, the Suffolk women's golf team placed seventh overall at the William Smith Invitational hosted by William & Smith at Clifton Springs Country Club over the weekend.
