The Suffolk baseball team struck early and often to run past Rivier, 10-3, in the nightcap of a GNAC double feature Sunday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk emerged over .500 after sweeping both Norwich and Rivier in doubleheaders over the weekend.
The Rams offense has been paced by the bat of senior centerfielder Brady Chant, who leads the way in every category with 43 hits behind a batting average of .355 with 27 runs scored, 22 RBI and 18 stolen bases. Blasé Cormier (32 H, .302, 16 RBI, 17 R) and Seth Coiley (31 H, 14 RBI, 18 R) are also consistent contributors at the plate for Suffolk.
Mark Fusco commands the Rams' staff as the senior RHP headlines Suffolk's starters with an ERA of 2.04 through 39.2 innings scattered over six starts and seven appearances. He has two complete games and 34 strikeouts to his credit. Kevin Sinatra (39.0 IP, 2.54 ERA, 23 Ks), Charles Batchelder (48.2 IP, 3.51 ERA, 23 Ks) and Ryan Pordes (44.0 IP, 5.11 ERA, 30 Ks) round out the core starting rotation for the Rams.
JUMBOS
After three offensive onslaughts over Colby, Tufts slipped in 10-innings to UMass Dartmouth Sunday to move to 15-11 on the season.
Tommy O'Hara and Malcolm Nachmanoff are the biggest bats for the Jumps. O'Hara, a senior infielder, has record 39 hits off a .394 average with 37 runs and 30 RBI, while Nachmanoff, a senior outfielder who is batting .419, has provided 36 hits, 25 RBI and 25 runs scored.
Sophomores Spencer Langdon and Brent Greeley are Tufts' one-two arms. Langdon boasts a 1.41 ERA with 21 Ks through 32.0 innings. Greely, meanwhile, brings in a 1.54 ERA with 15 punchouts in 41.0 frames.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Tufts holds the all-time series lead over Suffolk, 25-10. The Rams and Jumbos will meet for the first time under Anthony Del Prete and first time since meeting in the NCAA Division III New England Regionals in 2002, which Tufts won, 7-1. Suffolk last took down the Jumbos in the 2001 season defeating Tufts, 12-3.
EYES ON THE GAME
MILESTONE MOMENT
Suffolk joined an elite club Saturday, April 21 with the Rams 11-2 win over Norwich, which marked the program's 1000th victory all-time becoming the 66th program in NCAA Division III history to reach the milestone.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the second time this season, Suffolk baseball's Brady Chant has been named GNAC Corvias Player of the Week.
Chant earned the recognition after helping the blue-and-gold go 6-1 with a slash line of .393/.485/.607. The senior centerfielder went 11-for-28 with six doubles, seven runs scored and 10 RBI, while going 7-for-8 on stolen base attempts. The Warwick, Rhode Island native, had four multi-hit performances highlighted by a 3-for-5 effort for a season-high four RBI in game two at Norwich, which marked Suffolk's 1000th win in program history.
