Chant Collects GNAC Corvias Player of the Week

BOSTON – For the second time this season, Suffolk baseball's Brady Chant has been named GNAC Corvias Player of the Week, the league office announced.

Chant earned the recognition after helping the blue-and-gold go 6-1 with a slash line of .393/.485/.607. The senior centerfield went 11-for-28 with six doubles, seven runs scored and 10 RBI, while going 7-for-8 on stolen base attempts. The Warwick, Rhode Island native, had four multi-hit performances highlighted by a 3-for-5 effort for a season-high four RBI in game two at Norwich, Suffolk's 1000th win in program history.

Chant has headlined the Rams' offense this year and currently leads every offensive category for the blue-and-gold. He looks to continue to lead Suffolk as they enter the final week of the regular season with non-conference tilts at Tufts, Tuesday, April 24 and UMass Dartmouth Thursday, April 26 serving as prep for the final GNAC doubleheader against Saint Joseph's (Maine) in Eastie Saturday, April 28.
