suffolk sights EAST BOSTON MEMORIAL PARK

Under a unique private-public partnership with the city of Boston, Suffolk Athletics gained permanent places to call home for its outdoor varsity sports -- baseball, men's and women's soccer and softball -- in 2015.

Owned and operated by the City of Boston, East Boston Memorial Park is an urban recreational area and is part of the city's 2,100-acre chain of parks and waterways that provides residents and visitors with clean, green, safe and accessible open space.

The Michael & Larry Smith Fitness Center is located on the first floor of the Ridgeway Building, the home of Suffolk Athletics.

In the fall, Rams' fans are able to be right on top of the action in the grandstands of James A. Sartori Stadium.

In the spring, spectators will have the chance to catch Suffolk's baseball and softball teams.

On days where both Rams teams are taking the diamond, fans will be able to support both squads as the fields are a short walk away, separated by James A. Sartori Stadium.

Suffolk students, faculty, staff as well family, friends and fans, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh and the East Boston Community gathered at the inaugural Rams Fan Fest Sept. 12, 2015 to celebrate the University's new athletics home.

It’s exciting to be here to show the partnership between Suffolk University and the Boston Public Schools, in particular East Boston High School. It’s a win-win for everybody. You can’t do this without a partnership and a team approach. Suffolk really is the university in the heart of our city that’s engaged in so many different ways. This is the beginning of a long-standing relationship.
