2021 SUFFOLK WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ROSTER
BOSTON – Head coach Will Feldman has unveiled that nine true freshmen will add depth to an already experienced Suffolk women's cross country roster for the upcoming 2021 season.
"I'm extremely pleased with the freshman class that is joining us this fall," Feldman said. "We will be counting on them to be key contributors when championship season beings. I love the depth this group brings to the team, and we will be real title contenders because of it."
This group, that hails from six different states, joins the Rams' roster as the team transitions into the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) after having its anticipated CCC campaign cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
"It's a very talented group of runners, and I can see four of them being in our top seven," Feldman continued. "Cassidy (Jarish) is someone to keep an eye on. She has the potential to be a dark horse to win conference. Therese (McKeagney) and Kaitlin (Brunt) have the potential to factor into the all-conference conversation as well."
In addition to the league switch, these rookies, who join 11 returners, are in for a historic first-year as Suffolk cross country has been tabbed the 2021 NCAA Division III East Regional Host, which is on the calendar for Saturday, Nov. 13 at Franklin Park.
The action is set to commence at the same site of regionals at Suffolk's own Short Course Classic Friday, Sept. 3.
