Kelsey Repeats as CCC Libero of the Week

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – For the second straight week, Morgan Kelsey of the Suffolk volleyball team scooped up Commonwealth Coast Conference Libero of the Week. The award comes on the heels of a 3-1 week of the Rams in which Kelsey supplied 4.50 dps and 0.83 aces per set.

To open the hectic four-match over five-day stretch, the junior logged eight digs, four aces and four handouts in the straight set decision over Southern Maine, Suffolk's second straight win over the Huskies.

Two days later, she helped the blue-and-gold take down Framingham State for the first time since 2017 and first time on the road since 2003 with an 11-dig, two-ace, two-assist effort.

In the sweep of Vermont State Castleton, the Parker, Colorado native supplied 17 digs, four aces and three helpers, before wrapping up the week with an 18-dig performance against WestConn.

The weekly honor marks Kelsey's second straight and third of her collegiate career. She is the first Ram to receive multiple Libero of the Week nods from the CCC since Kenzley Bell '22 earned a pair last season.

Kelsey and Suffolk returns to action tonight when they entertain CCC rival Curry at Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court at 7 p.m.
