Bell Joins 1,000 Dig Club, Manhattanville Sweeps Volleyball

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – Kenzley Bell joined Suffolk volleyball elite Saturday afternoon as the third-ever Ram to record 1,000 digs in their career, however, it would not be enough as the blue-and-gold fell to Manhattanville in straight sets at the Hawks Center. The Rams wrapped up action at the Hawks Invitational via set scores 25-9, 25-22 and 25-15.

STATISTICALY SPEAKING

  • Bell finished with a 10-kill effort. 
  • Jess Weber and Grace Cervenka provided six kills apiece to the attack. 
  • Weber added seven digs, two aces and two blocks. 
  • Morgan Kelsey recorded 10 digs. 
  • Harmony Johnson and Jayla Martinez set up the attack with 13 assists and eight assists, respectively. 
  • Johnson added six digs and one kill.  

NOTEWORTHY

  • Bell became the third-ever Suffolk volleyball player to join the 1,000-dig club. She is the first to do so since Dakhensey Marcellus accomplished the feat in 2020. 
  • The series between Suffolk and Manhattanville leveled at 1-1.
