BIDDEFORD, Maine – Suffolk volleyball punched its ticket into the 2021 Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament as the field's secant seed the league announced late Saturday night.

In the Rams' first campaign in the CCC, the blue-and-gold put together a 3-6 league ledger to earn a place in the eight-team post-season field.

Suffolk's first-ever CCC tourney appearance is the Rams 15th consecutive playoff eligible season Suffolk will compete in. The Rams look to escape the quarterfinals for the third time in program history as it advanced to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) semis twice, including its last post-season push in back in 2019.

Under Scott Blanchard's guidance, Suffolk is 2-2 all-time in post-season play with back-to-back semifinal appearances.

The 2021 CCC Quarterfinals will send Suffolk to second seed Roger Williams Tuesday, Nov. 2 for a 7 p.m. first serve. The Hawks grabbed the second spot in the tournament field after going 7-2 against conference counterparts.

Suffolk and RWU met in the Rams' inaugural CCC contest back on Sept. 23. The blue-and-gold forced a fourth frame but ultimately fell 3-1 Sept. 31. Suffolk has yet to take down the Hawks in the all-time series (0-17).

Endicott's unblemished 9-0 conference mark gave the Gulls the top spot, while a tie breaker was needed to decide the third and fourth spots, respectively. Gordon, Salve Regina and Wentworth all put together 6-3 records in conference play. With the head-to-head tiebreaker no help, Gordon's upset over second-seed Roger Williams aided the Fighting Scots to the No. 3 seed. Wentworth's regular-season victory against Salve Regina handed the Leopards the No. 4 seed, which rounded out the quarterfinal hosts.

The quarterfinal winners will advance to compete in the semifinals, which are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 4, with the conference's championship set to be crowned Saturday, Nov. 6.
