Women’s Outdoor Track & Field’s Pole Vault 19th in USTFCCCA Event Rankings

USTFCCCA EVENT RANKINGS

NEW ORLEANS – Suffolk women's outdoor track & field emerged in the national rankings for the first time as the Rams pole vault sits 19th in the latest U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association's event squad summary.  

Event wise, ranks are determined by the top four athletes in each event from each team. Suffolk's women's pole vault foursome of Devyn BattistoniSasha Helfgott-WatersMolly Henegan and Kara Sickle have combined for the 19th-best in the country with an average clearance of 3.18m.  

A week ago, the quartet was responsible for the Rams first-ever outdoor national ranking with at 17th in the pole vault. 

The Rams look to ride momentum from the ranking in the 2024 CCC Championships, which get underway Thursday, April 25 at Gordon with the men's and women's steeplechase. Championship action continues Friday and Saturday at Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
