Outdoor Track & Field Ready for Silfen Invitational Friday

BOSTON – Suffolk men's and women's outdoor track & field is bringing its talents to the Silfen Invitational Friday, April 12. Action is scheduled to start at 1:45 p.m. at the Silfen Track on the campus of Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut.

THE FIELD
Suffolk will be joined by 38 collegiate teams at Conn. College including Commonwealth Coast Conference members Gordon, Hartford, Roger Williams, the University of New England and Wentworth.  

RAMS TO WATCH

  • Sydney Fogg will be racing the 1500 after a five-second personal record to open the season at UMass Lowell March 30. The senior is less than a second from qualifying for NCAA Division III New England Championships. 
  • Sarah Roberts will race her first-ever 10K and she will be aiming to punch a ticket to New Englands. 
  • Tim BarryKely Maloney and Evan Wright will all be attempting to qualifying for regionals in the 800. 
  • Thomas Novy will be racing the 5K to qualify for DIII New Englands. The junior brook the indoor 5k Rams' record this this year.
  • The trio of Hayden GreenCam Fredette and Sean Jacobsen will all be making their 10k debuts. The threesome all had breakout 5Ks during the indoor season and are fit enough to qualify for New Englands for the first time in their collegiate careers. 

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams have one final event on their weekly slate, the Penmen Relays, Saturday, April 13 at SNHU.
