MEDFORD, Mass. – Amanda Walden of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team competed in the Tufts National Qualifying Meet at Ellis Oval/Dussault Track Thursday. 

The freshman sprinter from Foxboro, Massachusetts, looked to put herself in position for a NCAA berth in the 400. She made her one lap around the track in 1:03.50 to finish seventh in the field. It was the first time in her collegiate career she competed in the event. 

The time did not prove to be enough to make it to the 2021 NCAA Division III National Championship, however, and Walden's and Suffolk's campaign ended.
