Women’s Indoor Track & Field Sees School Records Broken at John Thomas Terrier Classic

BOSTON – A pair of Rams records were written this weekend as Suffolk women's indoor track & field compete at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic.  

Senior captain Sydney Fogg put her name atop Suffolk's 1000 list with a tiem of 3:04.55, good for a spot at NCAA Division III New England Regionals.  

Fogg's fellow captain Emily Concepcion continued to improve upon her school record in the 400 as the ran one lap around the track in 58.42 to take 36th in the 112-runner field that also featured Suffolk sophomore Kaylie Groom (1:03.72).  

Amy Pattelena earned her ticket to New Englands in the 800 with a personal-best time of 2:21.04.

Amanda Walden, who already qualified for regionals in the 60 and 200, posted regional-qualifying times yet again in both events. The senior captain tallied an 8.01 in the 60 to take fifth in the 46-runner field. In the 200, she finished 47th out of 158 with a 26.03. Concepcion joined Walden in the 200 and clocked a 26.82. 

Suffolk will be back in action next weekend, Feb. 2-3. Rams will return to BU for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational with Plymouth State's Panther Invitational II also on the docket.
