Women’s Indoor Track & Field Finishes Sixth at Husky Invitational 

GORHAM, Maine – Suffolk women's indoor track & field compiled a sixth-place showing at the Huksy Invitational Saturday at the USM Field House. The meet saw Rams set new personal records and six student-athletes compete in events for the first time in their collegiate careers.  

RAMS RUNNERS

RAMS RELAY

  • The foursome of Taylor, Bryant, Ford and April Banuelos combined as a relay team for the first time in their careers in the Distance Medley Relay. 

JUMPERS JIST

  • Catherine Brown's 1.46 meter high jump put the junior in third. 
  • Evelyn Lansing took fourth in the 14-participant long jump with a leap of 4.61. 
  • Dion recorded a 7.96 in the triple jump.  

THROWERS THOUGHTS

RAMS RECORDS

  • Fallon logged a personal-best in the 200 as the junior finished the half lap around the track in 29.70. 
  • Bryant clocked a PR in the 600 (2:00.88).
  • Both Ford and Maria Gallant had career-highs in the mile. The former ran in 5:42.04 with the latter crossing the line in 6:53.72. 
  • Madden produced a PR of 9.29 in the 55 hurdles. 
  • Lansing logged a PR in the long jump of 4.61. 
  • Moore had a PR in the shot put (8.09).  

YOU'RE NEW HERE

  • Every Ram featured in the 55 competed in the event for the first time in their collegiate careers in Barboza-Lind, Madden, Dauria, Fallon and Ainsley Dion
  • Daisey Jones raced the mile indoors for the first time. The senior clocked a 7:04.11.

Suffolk splits up next weekend, Feb. 2-3, at the Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational and Plymouth State's Panther Invitational II.
