BOSTON – Suffolk women's indoor track & field got its 2022-23 season underway Saturday at its own meet, the Suffolk Relays, at the Reggie Lewis Center. Five Rams set personal records in the meet, while three freshmen began their collegiate debuts.

All three Suffolk student-athletes in the 60m dash rewrote their career-highs. Amanda Walden and Lauren Wood achieved the feat in the prelims to secure a spot in the finals. The former clocked an 8.13 preliminary time, while the latter crossed in 8.21. In the finals, Walden claimed sixth behind a time of 8.19, while Wood took eighth with her time of 8.40. Alyssa Rodriguez registered a personal-record 8.77.

In the jumping events, Grace Danehy and Nicole DiBenedetto represented the Rams in the high jump. The sophomore and senior both cleared 1.45 meters to share seventh. Sarah Forrister and Wood participated in the long jump. Forrister leapt 4.84 meters to take ninth in her collegiate debut and Wood finished 13th with a 4.71-meter jump.
