Filloramo Grabs Third GNAC Field Athlete of the Week

GNAC RELEASE 

MALDEN, Mass. – Caitlyn Filloramo of the Suffolk women's indoor track & field team was recognized by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) in the third week as the freshman was tabbed the league's field athlete of the league, the conference office unveiled Monday. 

The weekly accolade marks Filloramo's fourth of the season as she was named both field and rookie of the week Jan. 25 and took home the best field athlete nod on Dec. 14. Overall, Filloramo is responsible for 66.7 percent (4-6) of the Rams six weekly as Gwen Koziara and Julia Leavey each garnered the league's best rookie over a seven-day stretch Jan. 31 and Dec. 14, respectively.  

Filloramo's fourth weekly accolade came after she registered the top weight throw of any Division III freshman in the event that featured a mixed field from all divisions at Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite. The Southport, Connecticut, native posted a 11.29-meter toss. 

Filloramo and Suffolk returns to action Sunday, Feb. 13 when it competes for the GNAC Championship. The league championships send the Rams back to Boston University's Track & Tennis Center.
