Women’s Indoor Track & Field Recap from Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite

BOSTON – Suffolk women's indoor track & field sent a small contingent of Rams across town Saturday to Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite.

The blue-and-gold's 4x400 relay team made up of underclassmen in sophomores in Amanda WaldenAlicia Bibiand Jocelyn Triscik and freshman Emily Concepcion clocked a time of 4:21.29. Not only was that performance a program record, but is the top mark in the event in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) this season, a week away from the league championships.

Sophomore Lucia Seide represented the Rams in the 60m dash, while freshman Catherine Madden ran the 60m hurdles.

Madden's classmate, Therese McKeagney, rounded out Suffolk's runners in the 800. She logged a 2:32.80 in her first race of the season.

Caitlyn Filloramo and Allison Rodrigues donned the blue-and-gold in the field events. Filloramo registered the top weight throw of any Division III freshman in the event that featured a mixed field from all divisions with a toss of 11.29 meters. Rodrigues, meanwhile, threw the shot put 9.67 meters.

The cross-town event served as final prep for Suffolk before it competes for the GNAC Crown Sunday, Feb. 13. The Rams look to improve upon their runner-up finish from the inaugural conference championships two years ago.
