SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

THE FIELD
Over 50 programs spanning all three NCAA divisions will be represented at Boston University Saturday.

SUFFOLK SCOUT

  • Matyas Csiki-Fejer will be running the 3k. The Manchester, Missouri native is set to run a very aggressive race with a goal of qualifying for nationals. There will be athletes from Dartmouth, Georgetown, Stanford and Harvard in the event. It will be a highly competitive field of athletes and an excellent opportunity for him to be pushed.
  • Carter Nevulis will triple jump for the first time in his collegiate career. He will also compete in the 60 hurdles.
  • Robert Solari and Selvin Backert will make their season debuts in their primary events the 400 and 800, respectively. Both the senior and sophomore will bet title contenders at GNACs Saturday, Feb. 13.
  • Gwen Koziara will look to keep a great season going with a personal record and potentially a regional-qualifying time in the mile. The freshman heads into the weekend with the top time in the GNAC in the 3k and 5k, the first Ram to do so since Emily Manfra '20, the program's only indoor All-American, did so in 2000.
  • Caitlyn Filloramo and Lauren Wood will aim to punch their tickets to regionals in the weight throw and long jump, respectively.
  • Catherine Madden will look to improve on her second place GNAC rank in the 60 hurdles, while Grace Dreherwill make her season debut in the triple jump.

RAMS RECOGNITION
Suffolk women's indoor track & field's Gwen Koziara was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) rookie of the week after competing in her first collegiate 3K at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic, the conference announced on Monday.
