Women’s Indoor Track & Field Competes at MIT’s Art Farnham Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Suffolk women's indoor track & field sent a small contingent across the bridge today to MIT's Art Farnham Invitational. 

The bulk of the Rams participating in the event were field athletes, highlighted by Allison Rodrigues. The sophomore tossed the shot put 10.80 meters to claim third in the 13-participant field. In the weight throw, she finished in the middle of the 12 student-athlete with a 10.79-meter showing. 

Savannah Hunter and Michelle Riley competed in the shot put as well. The former finished ninth with a 9.21-meter throw and the latter's 7.59-meter toss was good for 12th.  

Julia Hunt represented the Rams in the long jump, clearing 3.86 meters. 

Cassandra Kuechler was Suffolk's lone runner at the event in the 60-meter dash. She crossed the tape in 10.78 for seventh. 

Suffolk will be back in action next weekend when it splits up for a pair of meets: Tufts' Branwen Smith-King Invitational and Boston University's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite.
