Manfra Invited to Race at Beantown Challenge

 


BOSTON – Emily Manfra of the Suffolk women's indoor track & field team received a call to compete against some of the nation's best at Harvard's Beantown Challenge Saturday, Jan. 11. The event begins at 11:30 a.m., with Manfra scheduled to run the 3K at 2:30 p.m. at Gordon Track.

BEANTOWN CHALLENGE
Emily Manfra is the lone NCAA Division III student-athlete invited in the field, racing against runners from Harvard, Northeastern, UMass Amherst, UMass Lowell, Boston College, Brown, Holy Cross and UConn.  

MANFRA MENTIONABLES
As the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its inaugural indoor track & field awards, Emily Manfra of Suffolk picked up the first athlete of the week honor for her showing against some of the nation's top runners at Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener December 7.

COMING UP
Suffolk's entire team will be back at it next week when it competes at the Tufts Invitational Saturday, Jan. 18.
