Women’s Tennis Picked Eighth in CCC Preseason Poll

CCC RELEASE

BIDDEFORD, Maine – In a vote by the Commonwealth Coast Conference's (CCC) eight head coaches, Suffolk women's tennis has been projected to finish eighth in the CCC Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced.

Suffolk rounded out the preseason predictions with 15 points that saw defending champion Endicott top the list with 60 points and five first place picks.

Nichols will aim to return to the title tilt after missing it for the first time since 2016 a year ago and the Bison are tabbed to do so with three first-place nods for 58 points.

Roger Williams, the 2021-22 CCC Tournament runner-up rounded out the top three with 50 points.

Gordon and Salve Regina closed the top five with 35 and 32 points, respectively, while Western New England (22) and Curry (16) preceded Suffolk.

Suffolk starts a new era in 2022 under the leadership of first-year head coach Drew Goldstein. He brings back four letterwinners from last season, Alyssa Blade, Bianca Prescott, Barbara Consales and Giuliana Claus, who will look to lead the Rams into the CCC post season for the first time in program history.

The Rams 2022 campaign commences Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Simmons at 3:30 p.m.
