BOSTON –
Coming off a 9-0, season-opening win at Saint Joseph (Conn.), the Suffolk women's tennis team looks to keep the balling rolling as it begins Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contests at Salve Regina Wednesday, Sept. 15. The battle is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.

SUFFOLK ATHLETICS 2021-22 FAN POLICY
Suffolk University Athletics, following guidance from the University's health and safety protocols, Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), Centers for Disease Control and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, plans to allow fans to attend home athletic contests during the 2021-22 academic and athletic year.

Fans, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, can attend games. They must be masked the entire time they are on campus, pursuant to institutional policy, and complete a health screening form at the security desk of each building upon arrival. This policy applies to home contests played on campus at the Ridgeway Building's Larry E. and Michael S. Smith Court, as well as the Emmons Horrigan O'Neil Memorial Rink and the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.

For outdoor outings, specifically at East Boston Memorial Park, fans are asked to respect COVID safety protocols. At this time, masks will not be mandated for fans no matter vaccinated status at outdoor venues.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's tennis began the 2021 campaign with a 9-0 victory over Saint Joseph (Conn.) Saturday afternoon.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk holds a 1-0 record after blanking Saint Joseph (Conn.) Sept. 11.  

The Rams easily handled doubles action and locked up the first three singles points to seal the winning fate. Down the stretch, the Blue Jays threatened and forced tiebreakers on courts three and four, respectively, however the Rams rallied and took the victories in those matches to take the shutout. 

SEAHAWKS SAYINGS
Salve Regina was blanked at Rhode Island College in its 2021 debut to sit 0-1 on the year. Elena Murdock put up the biggest fight against the Anchormen in the fifth singles slot.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk is unbeaten, 2-0-0. against Salve Regina since 2003.
  • The Rams last met and defeated the Seahawks Oct. 5, 2017, 5-4.
