Women’s Soccer Trio Earns All-CCC

Women’s Soccer Trio Earns All-CCC

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk women's soccer saw three student-athletes receive All-CCC distinction as Makena ColumbusAvery Porter and Klaudia Rushi all scooped up spots on the league's third-team, the Commonwealth Coast Conference office announced Tuesday.

The three recognitions in a single season are a record under Ellie McDougall's guidance and come after Suffolk not only appeared in the CCC postseason for the first time since 2021 but made the program's first-ever appearance in the CCC semifinals.

The trio, all first-team all-league honorees, helped Suffolk to its best start in program at 5-1-1 and were instrumental to the team's 8-8-3 overall ledger.

Rushi, a senior captain from Beverly, Massachusetts, anchored Suffolk's scoring with team-best numbers in goals (5) and points (11). Three of her first goals were game-winners.

Columbus, a freshman midfielder that calls Bridgewater, Massachusetts, sat third on the team in points with eight behind a three-goal, two-assist stat line.

Freshman Porter, a Portland, Oregon native, poured in four goals in her first collegiate campaign.

Since joining the CCC in 2021, Suffolk has taken home eight All-CCC: one first-team, two second-team and five third-team. When combined with their GNAC accolades, the Rams own 38 all-league nods, including two offensive player of the year, three rookie of the year, eight first-team sections, 10 second-team nods and 15 third-team accolades.
