BOSTON – Suffolk women's soccer's quest for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) crown starts Saturday, Oct. 28 as the seventh-seeded Rams travel to Bristol, Rhode Island, for a quarterfinals contest at second-seed Roger Williams at 3 p.m.

SUFFOLK IN THE POSTSEASON

  • Suffolk returns to the CCC postseason after a year hiatus. 
  • The Rams second CCC postseason trip is the program's 10th postseason appearance. 
  • The Rams have compiled a 3-6-0 record in the quarterfinals in its eight appearances (3-5-0) in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and CCC (0-1-0) tournaments, respectively. 
  • Suffolk will make its postseason debut in the Ellie McDougall era. 
  • Suffolk has moved onto the semifinals three times in program history, its last in 2016.
  • The Rams have never moved on from the quarterfinals in the CCC era. 

RAMS IN THE CCC CROWN CHASE

  • Suffolk makes its second CCC postseason run, first since 2021 and first as the seventh seed. 
  • The Rams look for their first CCC postseason win. 
  • Suffolk will compete in the CCC postseason under McDougall's guidance for the first time.

Suffolk women's soccer fell in its 2023 season finale, 2-0 to Commonwealth Coast Conference rival Roger Williams Tuesday at Bayside Field.

RAMS RUNDOWN
Suffolk (7-7-3) looks to snap a three-game losing streak Saturday. The Rams' last victory was an 8-1 offensive onslaught of Nichols Oct. 7, 2022.  

Klaudia Rushi has led Suffolk's offense with nine points on four goals and one assist. Avery Porter has four goals as well, while Makena Columbus rounds out the top trio with three goals and two helpers. 

Sophia Barker has been Suffolk's starter as of late. She boasts a 1.53 GAA and .789 save percentage. Arden Ferrari-Henry owns a 1.31 GAA and .769 save percentage in her 12 appearances, 11 starts. 

HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HAWKS

Roger Williams secured second in the CCC standings with a 5-1-2 league ledger. Overall, the Hawks hold a 10-6-4 mark. 

A quartet of players have surpassed double-digit in points in Mya D'Antonio (7g, 1a), who scored two unassisted versus Suffolk, Sofia Morris (6g), Bianca Robbins (4g, 3a) and Rachel Oster (2g, 6a). That group powers the Hawks 1.53 goals per game offense.  

In net, Coco Marrelli is the usual keeper for RWU. She has started all, but one of the Hawks games and brings in a 1.18 GAA and .786 save percentage with five shutouts to her credit.
